Time here in Salem has been split between old friends, like the Milans, the Gillespies, the Yagows, and Dean Pittman, owner of The Chocolate Bar, the best chocolate shop around.
And my new friends from Blue Ridge Christian Riders, the Roanoke area chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association. They meet every week for coffee in the winter and ice cream when it gets warm. And they ride regularly. Carol and I joined about 200 other bikes for a VA Tech Memorial ride from Roanoke to the Tech campus, where we parked on the drill field below the memorial for those slain last April. A wonderful and touching time.
Later in the month we rode to the Peaks of Otter as our "Run For The Son" which is the one day of the year when all the chapters of CMA all over the world have a charity ride. Carol had to work and couldn't go, but I had a good ride with the CMA'ers.
And, of course, more time at the Church Nursery lovin' on the little ones.
Then, the end of May arrived and I headed to Washington, DC for the wedding of my niece, daughter of Mary Ann's brother on Memorial Day Saturday.
Life is Good.

Well, Tom, I did take the time to catch up since our crazy phone call a week ago congratulating you for a grandchild that my brother-in-law Tom really had! Anyway, so good to see so many wonderful things happening in your life! Loved the photos that help fill in the details! Enjoy! Pray for us as we head back to Mississippi July 26-Aug 2.
