MORE WALKING IN PARIS

Doing these posts so long after the fact, along with my PDA crashing and erasing all of my calender entries for the past years has resulted in some errors. We did not go to the Louvre on New Year's Day, we went on Dec 31st. All pictures and descriptions are completely accurate - they just didn't happen on the day I said.

On New Year's Day, knowing we had the football game scheduled, we went out for another walking tour.

Starting with the Arc de Triomphe.

Magnificent

AND they had a Port-a-John - which by now you've learned is very important to this old man.

I was wearing my Penn State jacket. Three co-eds came up to us and said, "HI - Are you from Pennsylvania?" It's good to know that the legendary PSU allure still works, even for an old man !!! They were not Penn Staters but were all from PA. They had seen us earlier on the Metro and didn't say anything. But twice in one day was just too much.

We did not exchange names or email addresses so I don't think they'll ever find me or their pictures. But with the wonders of the WEB and Google, who knows.

Accepting the realization that we were NOT going to have a clear sunny day in Paris, we went to Montmartre.

We did not go into Sacre Coeur because the line was WAY too long. And it wasn't even a line - it was a major mob scene.

"We're not in England, Toto."

But we did enjoy the outside and the view - even through the fog.

From here we went to The Moose for the PSU bowl game - but I've already told you about that.
Tomorrow is Sunday - free admission to Paris Museums. We'll see what we're up to doing.
