I just got back from an 8 day trip to Disney World with Carol and her two kids, Carol's sister Bobbie, my son Tom, daughter-in-law Ann, and three Grandkids, Casey, Sarah and Ben.
I REALLY DID intend to Blog from there. But I left all of the planning and scheduling to my son so there was NO TIME to even contemplate a Blog entry.
Carol, Emily, Andrew and I drove down and arrived on Wed morning, the 21st. Tom and family arrived about the same time and Bobbie got there on Tuesday. We met on Wednesday afternoon at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom for a "Character Meal" - one of 5 Tom scheduled for our visit. This one featured the characters from Pooh.
We stayed in the Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day and closed the park after the fireworks display. Bobbie is a true Disney fan - this was her fourth visit in the last 12 months - so she was a MAJOR help at things like, "If we stand RIGHT HERE on the bridge between Adventure Land and the castle, Tinkerbell will fly RIGHT OVER US."
So that's where we stood for the fireworks.
And Tinkerbell flew right over us, as promised.
A wonderful end to our first day.
And we hadn't even checked into our rooms yet !

I love that I'm "one of the kids!"
Hi, Tom! It's been too long since I dropped by to hear your stories! It looks like you're still having fun! I also saw your comment to a recent article I posted. Glad you saw it! Blessings to you!
